Everyday Music Review

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help curious listeners hear a familiar subject in a new way. A strong contribution has a clear question, a specific musical focus and an explanation a general reader can follow without specialist training.

What makes a good pitch

Propose one focused idea rather than a broad survey. Tell us what the reader will understand or listen for, why the subject suits Everyday Music Review and how you would keep the piece grounded in accurate, checkable details. We are interested in songcraft, listening, sound, recording and music history, with room for varied musical traditions and points of view.

Sending a proposal

Use the Contact page to send a short pitch, a little about your approach and any relevant writing samples you choose to share. Please do not send a complete article unless requested. A submission is not a promise of publication, and we will review proposals for fit, clarity and originality.
